| Rob Lowe Not Filling Charlie Sheen’s ‘Two and a Half Men’ Shoes - Ok Magazine Posted:
Parks and Recreation executive producer Michael Schur was adamant that Rob could not take on the Men role, explaining during the Parks panel at Paley Fest, via The Hollywood Reporter, that the actor had a "multi-year contract" to remain on the comedy. OK! NEWS: CHARLIE SHEEN ON ROB LOW REPLACING HIM — "HE'S A BRILLIANT ACTOR, I HOPE HE DOES IT" "It's going to be hard," Schur quipped about how Rob would take on both shows, adding "there's no truth" to the rumors. "The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire," he said. Rob wasn't part of the panel because he was"looking at colleges with" his kids, Schur said, followed by another joke that he would have to now replace Scott Caan on CBS' Hawaii Five-0, another actor whose name was thrown into the Charlie replacement rumor mill. Rob and John Stamos were the front-runners rumored to replace Charlie on the hit CBS sitcom. OK! NEWS: ROB LOWE REPLACING CHARLIE SHEEN? WARNER BROS. RESPONDS "NO DECISIONS HAVE BEEN MADE" Yesterday on The Dan Patrick Show, Charlie lauded Rob and basically endorsed him for the role. "He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid]," he told the radio host.
